Dr. Gal Raz


Gal Raz is a Senior Lecturer at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television and the Sagol School of Neuroscience, and a researcher at the Tel Aviv Center for Brain Functions, Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. 

His academic background includes Bachelor’s degrees in Film and Television and Biology, a Master degree in Culture Research, and Ph.D. at the Graduate School of Medicine – all from Tel-Aviv University. 

His post-doctoral project was conducted at the faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, Maastricht University. His fields of research include brain network dynamics, neuroscience of empathy, cinematic empathy, the neuoroaesthetics of motion pictures, audiovisual brain computer interfaces, virtual and augmented reality, and multi-modal learning.
